MY LINEAGE
Nicholas McLetchie - PhD advisor

Nicholas is an associate professor of Biology at the University of Kentucky. I cannot even begin to describe how awesome this guy is. He also knows more than a thing or two about bryophyte biology, dioecious plants, and population ecology. We still have ongoing projects on sexual dimorphisms and desiccation tolerance in Marchantia inflexa.

Jill Farrant - postdoctoral mentor

Jill is a professor and research chair in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, University of Cape Town, South Africa. We are working together to explore the unique biology of the South African resurrection plant Myrothamnus flabellifolia. I'm grateful the oppertunity to learn from one of the best.

Robert VanBuren - postdoctoral mentor
Bob is assistant professor in the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University. He is an up and coming powerhouse in functional genomics of stress tolerance and crop domestication. We are working together to characterize the genomic patterns of desiccation tolerance in the South African resurrection plant Myrothamnus flabellifolia.
